CMR 72 - 2006

CMR 72 was designed to be an evolution on CMR 51 with a primary goal of reducing weight. This was achieved with a reduction to 485 lbs. The front suspension was switched to pushrods while the rear remained pullrods. Overall grip was very high, but handling was compromised by what drivers describe as "epic understeer". Despite the dificult handling, CMR 72 was headed to our best finish but was unable to complete endurance, unable to restart due to an overheated ECU.
