CMR 51 - 2005
CMR's 4th formula car build, CMR51, is our most reliable design to
date. Designs and lessons learned from previous years were put to
practical use to trim fat and increase reliability. Also for the first
year CMR was able to fully develop CMR51's engine package on the
mechanical engineering department’s internal combustion lab engine
dynamometer. The results were stunning, even with the restrictor CMR51
makes 83% of stock power -- by far the most power and best throttle
response of any previous CMR vehicle. In all CMR51 has been a car the
whole team can be proud of.
A local motorcycle enthusiast and passer-by of the car put it best, "looks like a whole lot of work in disguise."
