Srija Chintalapalle
I am currently a Master's student in the Biomedical Engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to CMU, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2024 and spent a year working at J&J in various parts of the business. During my undergraduate years, I spent a lot of time researching metal nanoparticles for forensic and cancer applications.
Previous Projects
-
Polymer Coated Iron-Cobalt Nanoparticles for Cancer Applications: Worked on synthesizing iron-cobalt nanoparticles with optimal characteristics to later be coated in PEG for functionalization of cancer therapeutics at UT El Paso.
-
Gold Nanorod Self-Assemblies for Drug Amplification: Experimented with gold nanorod self-assemblies as SERS substrates as a part of the 2021 NSF REU at Indiana University (IUPUI). Substrates were used for the amplification of benzodiazepines vibrational frequencies at picomolar concentrations.
