What we offer:
Carnegie Mellon Solutions offers businesses and non-profit organizations the opportunity to get talented and bright college students to work toward their objective. We, in essence, offer a free service, and in return, seek projects that utilize and challenge our skills learned in the classroom.

What we are looking for in a project:
Carnegie Mellon Solutions projects are deadline oriented
professional projects for students to earn real world work
experience. Typical project details pertaining to
duration, work and
organization are as follows:
Duration
- Teams generally work for 1 semester or less
- September - December or January - May
- Shorter 2-3 month projects are also recommended
- Special arrangements can be made for multiple semester
Work
- Team projects
- Strict deadline enforced goals
- Pre-determined job deliverables
- Tasks should be challenging to allow for application of business skills
- Build strong relationships between Carnegie Mellon and outlying communities
Organization
- Teams of four to five students
- Team leaders will act as official liaisons between Carnegie Mellon Solutions and organization
- Work follows strict proposal guidelines
- Liaison will actively contact organization to determine feasibility and current status of project
- All problems and concerns should be brought to liaison

Steps to start a project:
- Contact Carnegie Mellon Solutions executive
board
- Create proposal detailing work, expected end results, and estimate of workers needed
- Have initial meeting
- Contact Carnegie Mellon Solutions project liason (one will be assigned)
- Work begins
