summer leagues - singles and doubles
play in the tennis ladder by emailing tennis-people at cmu dot edu.
rules
a player may challenge any other player by email or phone call
results should be entered as soon as possible after the match and in the order they were played
players should agree on who will enter the score
players should not play the same player more than twice consecutively
ranking system
the ranking follows a sagarin-predictor-type system for tennis, which takes into consideration the ranking points of each player and the result of the match
rules of play
matches are played best of 3 sets with tie-break on all sets
both players may agree to play a super tie break (up to 10 with 2-point difference) instead of the third set - enter 7-6 for the third set
in doubles play, players may play only 1 set or a pro-set (up to 8)
