Who is Randy Pausch?

Randy Pausch was a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University. He co-founded Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center and also helped create Alice, an educational programming environment that teaches computer programming.

He was known for his Lecture, called Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams. He gave it in September 2007 after doctors told him that his pancreatic cancer was terminal. The lecture became an internationally recognized and was later turned into the bestselling book The Last Lecture.
