UPDATE ON THE MICROFILMING OF EARLY FREELAND NEWSPAPERS:

The 35 years' worth of early Freeland newspapers owned by MMI Preparatory School have now been microfilmed. The papers involved are issues of the Freeland Tribune and the Semi-Weekly Progress, published from the late 1880s to 1921. Interested readers can consult the microfilm at the Hazleton Area Public Library. Many thanks are due to the Hazleton Area Public Library, to MMI Preparatory School, and to all of those who contributed funds and those who have been otherwise involved in making this project a reality.
