History of Freeland, Pa.
Haulers, drivers, express, movers, storage, junk dealers

What's on this page:
  • 20th-century hauling, truckers, coal delivery
  • Haulers, teamsters, truckmen, movers, storage, junk dealers listed in directories 1895-1940
On related pages:

The photo at top left came from John Zubach and shows a good view of what delivery of goods by horse and wagon/sleigh in winter would have been like. It looks like the one at left is being used for snow removal from in front of the Central Hotel. The one at right is probably delivering beer. And there's another horse and wagon/sleigh just behind the one full of snow at left, and maybe another one behind that. For those not familiar with Freeland's streets, the photographer was standing in the middle of the 600 block of Center Street, looking north.
