HOW THE MAPPING WORKS
Each location's 12-month temperature profile becomes a 12-note melody. The highest temperature month plays the highest pitch; the coldest plays the lowest. The chromatic scale maps linearly between the location's own extremes.
Precipitation determines how long each note rings. Wetter months sustain longer — like a season that lingers. Drier months are clipped short.
Average humidity controls the reverb — how much each note bleeds into the next. A humid climate sounds lush and connected. An arid one sounds dry and precise.
