After much research it is the opinion of this club that there are far too many websites devoted to being chess directories for the CMU club website to compete.  It is for this reason that we instead list many of the aforementioned directories below.  This website, as an exception, does list many/most sites where online play is possible.  Just click the above "online play" button.  The sites below are listed in no intended order.

 

Chessopolis! It's lists were the source of many of the below links. Bill Wall's Chess Links - Bill has a massive list of raw (unsorted, alphabetical) links. ChessVille - Pretty good collection. MECCA: Chess Encyclopedia - 1500 or so entries on everything chess, which means mostly links to other places. New In Chess - Tons of links from the publishers of New In Chess magazine. Good international listing with lots of non-English pages. RajnCajn's Cyber Chess - A good number of links, sorted. Schackportalen ("Chess Portal") - In Swedish. Commented chess links. English translation planned. The Best Chess Tables - Link directory. The Checkmate of the Postman - Hundreds of chess problems, including the "The Checkmate of the Day". Chess Games Links - Collection of links to websites all around the world where you can download chess games in various formats (pgn, cbf, cbv, nic,...) for free. Chess Links - Lots of links.
