Gender Awareness and Action in Policy is an active student organization in Heinz School of Public Policy and Management, Carnegie Mellon.

Mission

GAAP aims to:
• Raise consciousness and provide information about gender/sex in relation to public policy through
academic, extracurricular, and cultural activities.
• Actively promote the presence of gender-conscious individuals, with a conscious specific focus on women,
in strategic and policy-making positions

Vision

We empower women to become active participants in the public policy arena. We enhance gender awareness and
promote the equitable participation of gender-conscious individuals in all sectors of society.
