The Mission of the BioSAC
|
The Biological Sciences Student
Advisory Council, BioSAC, provides undergraduate bio majors with an
institution that promotes academic excellence, free exchange of ideas,
ethical behavior, responsibility to the campus and society and commitment
to work. The BioSAC was created to advise the department to better serve
students in terms of academics, future professional goals and personal
development. When students leave Carnegie Mellon they will not only
be prepared for society's challenges, but also leave with a unique undergraduate
experience.
|
Why Should I Become Involved?
|
The BioSAC is involved with
numerous activities both within the department and the campus community.
By becoming a member of the BioSAC you have the opportunity to make
a difference on campus by addressing curricular issues and concerns
that effect your daily campus life. You will also be able to network
for internship and career opportunities through guest speakers, trips
to local technology firms and discussions with career speakers. By being
an active member, you will interact with students that share the same
interests as you and will also show your dedication to your department.

How Can I Become a Member?
|
If you are a Biological Sciences student interested in actively participating
in departmental and campus activities, email npavetti@andrew.cmu.edu
