Randy Pausch was a well-known professor of computer science, human-computer interaction, and design at Carnegie Mellon University. He was also a spouse and a father of three, whom he had left because of his pancreatic cancer.

He was known for dying from pancreatic cancer at a relatively young age. He was a good speaker too. "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," his insightful last lecture, became popular and millions have watched it on countless websites.

1. "Time is the only commodity that matters." -Randy Pausch
2. Him emphasizing that doing the right things moderately is much more important than doing the wrong things perfectly.
3. His emphasis on creating a plan first, because we can't adjust our plans according to changes unless we have ones.
4. When we cannot find time to do important things, we make it, and we make it by choosing not to do something else.
5. Him finding time in the first place to give talks knowing that he will leave this world soon. That was the best evidence of his own words.
