I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. I was a member of High Performance Computing and Software Lab (HPCS). I am a CIFellow in Intel Science and Technology Center for Cloud Computing (ISTC-CC) at CMU.
My research focuses on the memory hierarchy in computer systems, including CPU caches and memory buffer caches in operating systems and database systems. The objective is to accelerate data accesses through improved caching and prefetching mechanisms. My research interests include operating system, computer architecture, distributed system, and database system.
I also cooperated with researchers at IBM T.J Watson Research Lab to explore practical solutions for testing and diagnosing applications migrated into the emerging cloud computing environments.
