Changes at the Gates Center

The outfit of Andrew and our class changed quite a bit from the last class.

The appearance of the Gates Center also changed. The circular columns were built upon the concrete floor, and soil covered the areas near the insulation and retaining walls.

The changes - the steel decks now have one more layer of small rebars for concrete to be placed on top of them, and exterior space accesible from the Doherty Hall has the concrete floor.

Memorable things from the site in April

The hays in concrete slab - the hays are in the slab due to acoustical reason.

The U - I have no idea what this is and does. I guess this is some sort of a marker.

The work station - the workers here can built anything in a short amout of time. They use this not only as work station but also as lunch table.

My classmates - good scaled-figures for the size of the rebar.

SH NSF - I guess these initials of some people. If I had a chance to leave a mark, I would have left WL@GC.
