BE ME (with Giorgio Sadotti) (1996)
Performance and installation ‘pretending’ to be the artist Giorgio Sadotti

Artist Giorgio Sadotti was booked to have a one month long, one-person show at the Interim Art gallery in London. Giorgio decided, instead of showing his work for one month, to invite 31 friends and artists to 'be him' for one day at Interim Art. As one of these 31 invitees, I reckoned that Giorgio and I had 3 things in common: baldness, lifelong support for Manchester United football team and our interest in art.

This resulted in 3 artworks:

1. Two close-up photographs of unidentified bald heads looking like grassy knolls.

2. Photographs of both of us disguised as Manchester United hero Eric Cantona.

3. Photographs of us disguised as Marcel Duchamp disguised as Rose Selavy.
