I am a doctoral student at
Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.I earned my undergraduate and
post graduate degrees from the same school. My first contact
with the world of wizardry was through a half-giant, Rubeus Hagrid,
the keeper of grounds and keys at Hogwarts. Lord Voldemort,
attempted to kill me many times. But the spell with which he tried
to kill me rebounded. I survived with only a lightning-shaped scar
on my forehead as a memento of the attack.
Some folks say I am a living legend in the wizarding world.
In my first year at Hogwarts, I met my two closest friends: Ron Weasley,
a fun-loving member of an ancient, large, happy, but hard-up wizarding family,
and Hermione Granger, a gifted and hardworking witch of non-magical
parentage. In my second year, I and my friends investigated a
50-year-old mystery that appeared to be tied to recent sinister events
at the school. In the same year, I also learned that my ability to speak
Parseltongue, the language of snakes, is rare and often associated with
the Dark Arts. In my third year of magical education, I was targeted by
Sirius Black, an escaped murderer believed to have assisted in the
deaths of my parents. During my fourth year of school, I was
unwillingly entered as a participant in the Triwizard Tournament, a
dangerous contest where I was forced to compete against a witch and a
wizard "champion" from visiting schools as well as another Hogwarts
student. In the fifth year, I had to again confront the newly resurfaced
Voldemort. In the same year, I formed a secret study group to teach my
classmates the higher-level skills of Defence Against the Dark Arts that
I had learned. In my following years, I took private lessons with
Dumbledore, who showed me various memories concerning the early life of
Voldemort. My snobbish adversary, Draco Malfoy, attempted to attack
Dumbledore, culminatin gin the death of Dumbledore by Professor Snape,
the titular Half-Blood Prince.In my final year at Hogwarts, along with
my friends Ron, and Hermione, the members of the Order of the Phoenix, I
defended Hogwarts from Voldemort, his Death Eaters, and various magical
creatures. I finally faced Voldemort, whose horcruxes had all been
destroyed and in the battle that ensued Voldemort's curse rebounded off
my spell and exterminated him.
