I am currently working as a post-doctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar. Previously, I was a post-doc at RWTH-Aachen University, Germany. I completed my Ph.D. in 2007 from State University of New York, Binghamton. My advisor was Nael B. Abu-Ghazaleh.

Research

My general area of interest is in addressing the architecture and design of wireless systems. Specifically, I have worked (and still continue to work) on optimizing different functionalities (PHY, MAC and routing) in various wireless networks, such as Mesh and Cognitive Radio Networks. I generally tend to like fundamental and practical problems that manifest in various types of wireless systems. Currently, I am working on optimizing multi-media traffic in a Distributed Camera Wireless Network. Click here for more details on my research interests.
