About me

I am a PhD student in the ECE Department at CMU with Prof. Priya Narasimhan. I received my M.S. in ECE from University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and B.Eng from Manipal University, India in 2010.
My research revolves around mobile and distributed computing. I like designing, prototyping and evaluating systems.
My current research focuses on mobile and edge computing and how it can accelerate perception and recognition applications (e.g. augmented reality, large-scale visual search) for mobile, wearable and other edge devices by coordinating their execution across the cloud, edge and nearby mobile devices. I am especially interested in solving the challenges that scale (millions of devices simultaneously using cloud-based AI/computer vision services) will impose on such applications.
