Research Experience
Browsable Summaries: Providing Insight into Team Work, CMU | July 2007 - December 2008
Worked on the development of a new tool which can be used by instructors to monitor the functioning of a group processes. Based on the nine interviews with instructors from various disciplines, we identified and categorized the type individual/group process assessment categories, and presented them in the design prototype using two vignettes.

Developed an improved design for a two-dimensional dental charting interface through a user-centered design process, focusing on the visualization of complex information that is intuitive and easy to understand to the dentists.
Domestic Mail Manual Transformation Project for the United States Postal Service | Information Designer, Interaction designer, CMU | August 2002 - May 2005
Worked on the 4-year project as a team of CMU school of design, we developed a new model of a user-centered, task-based approach that replaces the USPS’ 1000-plus page manual of postal rules with a new set of intuitive, easy-to-use and understandable documents tailored to specific audience’s needs.

Explored and created a range of kinetic type expressions to research on the effects and the language of kinetic typography.
