I am a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University. Here you will find my online portfolio, which showcases some selected research projects, design works, and curriculum vitae.
What unifies all of my design work is my interest in information design. I’ve always been interested in designing effective communication and interaction methods, which affect the way people think, act, and feel. My experience ranges from print to digital, from static to dynamic, and from verbal to visual.
For my Ph.D. research, I examine the nature of information by looking at the different uses of information design in certain situations. In particular, I’m focusing on the role of emotion in information design by exploring the theme of wonder that leads one to the experience of discovery.
