Sudhanshu Nahata

I am a second year PhD student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University. I am working under the guidance of Prof. Burak Ozdoganlar. Prior to joining here, I completed my undergraduate studies in 2010 at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) in Production and Industrial Engineering. My research interests are broadly in the area of mechanical micro-manufacturing and related processes.


My current research focusses on:
a. Mechanical Micromachining - Mechanics of Material Removal at Micro/Meso Scale
b. Spindle Metrology - Ultra-High-Speed Spindles Used for Micro-Milling, PCB Drilling
c. High Resolution Strain Measurement through EBSD
