Looking for a PhD supervisor........
Bio:
I did my undergraduate in Electrical engineering from NED University
of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 2005. Afterwards, I worked as a Maintenance
Electrical Engineer in the industry until coming to Carnegie Mellon for my MSIT in
January 2011.
Current Projects:
I'm working with Dr. Tom Lauwers and Dr. Illah Nourbaksh
from Carnegie Mellon's CREATE lab (Website) to
develop a modified version of the Alice 2.2 visual
programming environment that supports the Finch
educational robot.
The modified version of Alice will be released soon through the Finch website.
Publications:
User testing for the above project is under way and a
publication on the topic is expected near the end of this year.
Research Interests:
I'm interested in using technologies to further education.
In particular, I love working on the development of such tools.
I'm interested in projects that use innovative and state-of-the-art technologies to get learning
across while maintaining an aspect of fun. As such, I would love to work on project that
include robotics, educational games, online learning platforms, etc.
