Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization that
collects, stores and distributes food and household products to more than
370 charitable agencies in Southwestern PA.
We are also accepting Giant Eagle Advantage card gift certificates!! If you would like to donate your $10 or $15 gift certificate to the food bank, you can do so by putting it into campus mail to either Gloria Dadowski at Hunt Library or Carole Panno at Alumni House.

The Grievance Committee has updated their web page and added a Grievance Guide, explaining the grievance procedure in a clear and easy to read format.
The chief purpose of Staff Council is to examine matters related to all members of the Staff Organization, their quality of life and their employment, to act as an advocate for, and to formulate recommendations to the University Administration. With a view to the institution's continued success and improvement, Staff Council will consider any other topic relevant to the interests of the University as well as any topic affecting the welfare of the University community, and to make recommendations thereof. The Staff Council also considers those affairs that are delegated to it by the President of University Administration.
Staff Council is comprised of 80 plus representatives & alternates elected for 2 year terms.
Meetings are held from 12 noon - 1 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of each month, generally in the Conan Room in the University Center.

community, however, only elected members to staff council may vote on any
issues that may arise, including motions to accept the minutes.
Staff Council is a member of the Pittsburgh Employee Activities Association. PEAA sponsors a number of discounts which Carnegie Mellon employees are eligible for. Staff Council also sells Entertainment books.

The Activities Committee sponsors group events & activities for staff, such as a Carnegie Mellon Staff night at the Pirates Game, or Pittsburgh Symphony with the Mendelssohn Choir. We also gather and publicize "non-group" events that may be of interest to staff, such as the Flower Shows at Phipps Conservatory, Pittsburgh Zoo Lights, etc.
