Since April 2013, I'm a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Signal and Information Processing (CSIP) in Georgia Institute of Technology. I earned my PhD from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University where I joined the program in January 2009. I earned my master's degree in engineering science from Simon Fraser University, Canada, in 2008 and my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 2006.

I'm interested in theoretical and applied problems that are at the confluence of Signal Processing, Statistics, and Optimization. In particular, my areas of interest are Compressed Sensing, Low-rank Matrix Estimation, and more generally estimation in high-dimensional regime.
