Teaching
In spring 2013, I co-taught a graduate seminar called "Special Topics in Astrophysics" (33-788) with Shirley Ho. This course included coverage of many areas in modern observational cosmology, with emphasis on the most up-to-date techniques and results. Our course materials are available here.
In fall 2013, 2014, 2015, 2021, 2022, and 2023 I taught 33-445, a senior undergraduate course (Advanced Quantum Physics I).
In spring 2014, 2015, and 2023, I taught 33-777, an introduction to astrophysics for graduate students.
In fall 2016, I created a new course, 33-778, an introduction to cosmology for graduate students.
It has 33-777 as a pre-requisite. I've taught this course in 2017 and 2018 as well, and provide
material available to others outside of CMU upon request.
In spring 2024, I taught 33-152, Matter and Interactions II, which uses 3D calculus and special
relativity for the study of electricity and magnetism.
