rafae dar aziz

Hello! My name is Rafae Dar Aziz. I was born in California but I've spent the bulk of my years in Portland, Oregon, and I'm an avid fan of the Blazers. I completed my undergraduate degree double majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, I've returned to the west coast and joined the Human Centered Design and Engineering Masters program at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. When I'm not working on HCI related projects and assignments, I enjoy playing (and watching) basketball, tennis, racquetball and football or driving my 1.8T VW Jetta (aka The Blue Beast).

I've spent my last two summers as a Research Assistant with the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Accessible Public Transportation at CMU. During the summer of 2008, I studied abroad through the Georgia Tech Lorraine Study Abroad Program in Metz, France, and had an awesome time travelling all over Europe while also researching vehicle driving quality detection technologies. Ask me about my many travels abroad, as well as my love for cars, sports, and technology.

I'm currently looking for a summer internship in user experience research and/or design. Please use the links at top of the page to view my work, my resume, or to contact me.
