About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Priya Ramanathan and I am a first year graduate student at the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Public Policy and Management and plan on graduating in May of 2009. Before attending graduate school, I was a student at The George Washington University in Washington, DC finishing up my undergraduate degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Although I am currently enjoying my time here in Pittsburgh, I definitely left my heart in DC. I hope to return there one day!

Career Goals
Following graduation I hope to use my degree in policy and management by pursuing a career in public service either in Washington, DC or New York City. I am undecided whether I plan to work in the public or private sector but I hope that in some way my work will be involved with working on social policy issues in the United States.
