CFCA - Christian Foundation for Children and Aging is a keystone. They sponsor children worldwide, including Patzun Guatemala. Most of us sponsor children in or near Patzun through CFCA. We know one founder, Bob Hentzen well. As luck would have it Bob lives in nearby San Lucas Toliman.

CFCA is marvelous organization. Bob Hentzen is a marvel. I'll fill in some details when I get time (so don't hold your breath!).

Lucy Moreno - All St. Ann Missionaries can trace their roots to Lucy. As a very young woman she approached Father Al McGinnis (a very young Pittsburgh Diocesan priest). Lucy wanted to give a few years of her life in service to God. Father Al helped her select CFCA. Lucy signed up for three years. At first she was in Venezuala. Her second and third years were in Patzun. Father Al visited, reported back to what was then his new parish and first pastoral assignment, St. Ann in Waynesburg Pennsylvania.

Lucy, though never a member of St. Ann Parish, hosted the first team of St. Ann Missionaries in Patzun during the summer of 1991.
