I'm Narges SharifRazavian.

I'm a Master student in Language Technologies Institute, working with Stephan Vogel on Lexical feature training for Phrase Based Statistical Machine Translation system.

I've been the recepient of Barbara Lazarus Women@IT fellowship award from Women@SCS in CMU for 2007-2008 accademic year.

I come from an engineering background: Computer Engineering Bachelor degree from Sharif University in Tehran, Iran, and Information Technology Master degree from University of Tehran.

 

My research interests include:

1) Application of syntactic and semantic features to Language and Translation models;

2) Syntactic and semantic parser training and cross lingual projection.

3) Translation resource gathering for low density languages

My current likes/dislikes list:

I like drawing, Persian calligraphy, writing, singing, summer, traveling to new places, and meeting new people. I dislike restrictions, prejudiced people, and very cold weather.
