Neato XV-11 is a robotic vacuum cleaner similar to Roomba. However, instead of just relying on the bumper to detect objects, Neato uses laser sensor to detect its surroundings and update its internal representation of the room dynamically and continuously. After gathering enough information for its internal map, it plans it route and vacuums the area using a straight line pattern.
