About Me:A Pakistani by birth and citizenship, I currently reside in Pensylvania, USA. I am an international development practitioner presently enrolled in the Masters program in the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management (PPM) at Carnegie Mellon University. With an undergraduate degree in Economics and my interest lies in pursuing an International Development related research career, mostly focusing on the South and Southeast Asian Region. During undergrad my principal subjects were Development Economics and Politics; here at Carnegie Mellon, I aim to develop my Masters concentration towards Policy Analysis in the International Arena, examining how we can make policies more effective and development more sustainable. Career Goals:Pursuing a masters in Public Policy has been a passion since high school, and was made possible through the Fulbright Scholarship Award. I hope to go back to Pakistan after finishing my studies, and would like to appear for the Civil Services Selection Examination to be able to join the administration of local governments. Pursuing research in Public Policy at this point is not only honing my analytical skills but also enabling me to determine the loopholes in the existing system of administration; consequently I hope to be able to assist the domestic government in devising a better framework.
