Full-time Student Internship

  • Enabled Google to answer natural language queries about product price with grammar-rule based parser.
  • Expanded symantic parsing grammar for conversational shopping with the utilization of human rater annotation and pattern miner.
  • Tested the expanded grammar and compared the trigger rates, precision and recall to the original grammar rule set.
  • Migrated a set of toolkits from other domain into our team to accomplish the task.

Microsoft Research Asia, Beijing, China, September 2012 -- May 2013
Full-time Student Internship

  • Developed different models of natural language generation, such as grammar rule based model and HMM-based model.
  • Tested these models on CMU Lets-go bus corpus, XBOX360 movie query and François Mairesse's restaurant recommendation corpus.

Full-time Student Internship

  • Built an email system that allows large (1000GB) attachment files in SMTP.
  • Designed user action logic.
  • Programmed in Perl and JQuery.

  • Maintained a database for mobile user data. Developed a web interface for data access.
  • Applied Hibernate architecture for dynamic web pages to display these data.

  • Built a microprocessor on an FPGA. Code written in Verilog.
