The work
There comes a time when you're engaged in the work and you reach deep inside yourself to scoop out a bit more heart for its completion, but then you pause in shock and dismay; the work has already taken every bit of you, and you haven't the smallest scrap of heart left to give. Take notice, you who have claimed your pound: I believe that I will be requiring some of it back...
