Open Oracle Calendar
1. Open a new window in your web browser.
2. Go to the website http://www.my.cmu.edu (Note: If you are not logged into WebISO, you will be prompted to enter your andrewID and password; do so and click the “Login” button to continue to my.cmu.edu).
3. Click on the red “My Accounts” tab in the top page navigation.
4. Click on “Calendar” in the left menu.
5. Click on “View Account” in the “Calendar” sub-menu.
6. Your personal Oracle calendar should be displayed.
View Agenda for Baker Hall 245 C & Q
7. Click on the “View Agendas” icon in the top navigation (the icon with a calendar and a person).
8. To see open time slots for Baker Hall (BH) 245 C & Q, first select “Resources” in the “Search for” drop-down menu. Then select “Carnegie Mellon-Pittsburgh” in the “Country” menu, select “Baker Hall” in the “Facility” menu, and select “Room” in the “Resource type” menu.
9. Click the “Find” button to view results for the search.
10. Results should be displayed in the bottom-left textbox on the same page. In the textbox, scroll down and select “BH 245 C and Q”. Click the “View” button to the right of this textbox to see availability for these rooms. A new window showing the agenda for BH 245 C and Q should open.
Make a Reservation
11. Using the agenda shown in the new window, reserve BH 245 C & Q from 9:00am -10:00am on May 30th, 2008. To navigate to this date, click the single (>) and double (>>) arrows at the top of the calendar to display future weeks and months, respectively. To create a meeting on this date, click the (+) link corresponding to the starting time of the reservation.
12. Type “Meeting” in the “title” field displayed under the “General” tab. Double check that the date and time in their respective fields are correct.
13. Invite your tester, andrewID
to the meeting. To do this, first click on the “People & Resources” tab. Make sure “People” is selected in the “Search for” menu. Then type in the “User Information” field, and click the “Find” button. Your user tester should have been automatically added to the meeting list below.
14. Click on the “Notification” tab and make sure that “Send e-mail to attendees” is checked.
15. Click on the “Create” button in the upper right hand corner of the same page to make the reservation.
16. You should be redirected back to the agenda for BH 245 C & Q
Delete your reservation
17. To delete the reservation you just made, click on the title of your meeting in the BH 245 C & Q agenda.
18. You should be directed back to the same page you used to create the meeting. Click the “delete” button in the upper right hand corner of the page to permanently delete the meeting.
