Welcome to the Community Service section of the Ninth PA Web site. As a non-profit corporation, the members of the Ninth PA are committed to community service honoring the men and women who have served in the armed forces or our country with a focus on the American Civil War--a war that forged one country out of many states with a common destiny of freedom for all. Go back five generations and experience the America of your great grandparents. The men and women of the Ninth PA will bring history alive for your school or group. See, feel and hear about the Civil War era infantrymen and their uniforms, weapons and equipment, daily routine, drill and training, medical and surgical applications, food and rations, songs and music. If you are interested in the home front, then experience what civilians and family life behind the lines was like during the Civil War. Interested in a first person impression of a famous personage of the Civil War era, like Abraham Lincoln or Mary Todd Lincoln? Then read on.
The Ninth PA provides two types of community service--Special Presentations and Living History encampments/Battle reenactments.
