Randy Pausch was an American Computer Science professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He was one of the co-founders of Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center where he taught the "Building Virtual Worlds" course for a decade.
He was mainly known creating Alice, a software project that taught computer programming, and co-authoring the internationally acclaimed "Last Lecture" book
1: Treat time like money. but with more importantance due to it being an unrecoverable commodity.
2: Doing things right is way more important than doing the right things (not that doing the right things is bad).
3: You cant change your plans unless you have one. Worring about having to change your plans is pointless as long as you dont have a plan.
4: Do the uglist thing first, doing the last thing would be more bearable
5: The importance of showing gratitude. Most people are likely to remember you if you took the initiative to show how thankful you are.
