Dinner was large and full of wine. Patrik said I was detail oriented because I stuck a post-it on the door of their house with the definition from my dictionary for Bombastic. One of his sayings has been "Fantastic, Bombastic." It seemed to mean the height of everything. Last night I mentioned that I did not think bombastic was particularly a complement, after Karen said when her husband left he hugged her and said "we are bombastic." Patrik assured me that every one in Slovakia uses the two interchangeably because it was a slogan for a Levi's commercial, "Fantastic, Bombastic." So I gave him the definition from Merriam-Webster which I know to be correct. Tonight we were still using the word Bombastic but we now clarify it as the Slovakian slang meaning.
