Thrift Town, in the Mission was an asylum Saturday before Halloween. Men were trying on spangley dresses with the dressing rooms doors open. A long rack at the entrance had a sign with "better clothing" written on it and a flurry of flamboyant men at one end. I had to know what was causing all the attention but I didn't exactly want to get in the middle of a Bitchy-Poo Fest. I dove in anyway to find that the end of the rack was devoted to leather apparel. Yes, Thrift Town has a Kinky boutique rack. Leather bras, cod pieces, chaps, it was all there at prices significantly off of those in the Castro. A leather cod piece was $20. The next time I walk by those trend filled boutiques I will realize that no matter what, it all ends up at Thrift Town.
