Biography
I am pursuing a MAPW to strengthen my writing skills and to learn the intricacies of professional communication. As an undergraduate English major, I learned to write analyses of literature, but I did not learn to apply my writing skills outside of the academic sphere. In the MAPW program, I will learn the practical application of writing, a skill that is useful in a number of professional fields. I applied to the program with the desire to pursue editing and publishing as a career. But I am keeping my options open and exploring as many areas as I can while still a student.
