I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University advised by Shawn Litster.
My primary research interest is in meso-scale interfacial phenomena in the electrodes of polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM)
fuel cells that includes species transport, electrochemical reactions, surface chemistry and electric double layers.
The goal of my research is to enhance qualitative and quantitative understanding of electrode's transport and kinetic losses with multidimensional modeling framework.
I am also interested in designing optimal interfacial morphology of compressed catalyst layer and micro-porous layer to minimize Ohmic and mass transport losses in PEM fuel cells.
