These images show the iterative process of refining the Untangle Logo. I started with a blank slate, other than the word Untangle. Right away in my mind came the image of a string flailing in the wind, as if tied to a pole. After scribbling a few curves, I was assured by a coworker that I was onto something. I began to refine the curves, and eventually a pleasing curve emerged. Then it came time to choose a typeface and colors. The logo stuck like glue, and was very fitting. It appeared more customer friendly, less technical.
