About Me

 

Work/School

Since April 2006, I have been working as the sysadmin for the InterACT Lab at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science.

• I have also worked on integrating the lab's Janus voice recognition system into the GALE Project Interoperability Demonstration system (IOD).
• That project involved working with IBM's Unstructured Information Management Architecture (UIMA)
• Some of you may know me from my work at/for Teradyne, Inc in Boston - now located in North Reading, MA
• While at Teradyne, I also sat on a few standards committees organized by SEMI.
• I also do some consulting from time to time...
• BSEE degree from Grove City College where I was also a member of the Track & Field Team.
• Finally, while I am at CMU I am working on an MBA at the Tepper School of Business. Graduation will be in May 2009.

 

Interests

At the moment, I'm interested in mobile applications, GPGPU programming, non-profit fundraising and anything that simplifies Linux administration (e.g. puppet). I enjoy running and swimming - I'll attempt my first triathlon in August. In the winter, I snowboard. Aside from all that, I'm a big fan of Mario Kart.
