The HAL, or Hybrid Assistive Limb, is a pair of robotic limbs created to assist the elderly or disabled in walking. The suit uses sensors to detect muscle impulses and electric signals from the brain. Using this information, it determines which muscles the person intends to use, and then power motors in the joints of the suit to assist movement.
Sense: Senses muscles impulses
Plan: Decide which what muscles need to be moved
Act: drive joint motors to assist movement
