My name is Gorana Smailagic and I am currently a senior at Carnegie Mellon University. I am doing a Bachelor's of Arts in Biological Sciences with an additional major in Business Administration. I am also pursuing my Masters in Healthcare Policy and Management. Some other school activities include being a Resident Assistant for Mudge House.
I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and moved to Pittsburgh when I was 7 years old. I have gone back to visit family in Sarajevo and Croatia several times over the past 15 years and I always look forward to my next visit.
My career goals include healthcare consulting. I find healthcare to be an exciting industry to be in right now especially with the imminent 2008 Elections, which will change the way Americans receive and view healthcare. In addition, consulting is an accelerated way of getting into the business world and learning about different industries.
