The Archives and Record Center of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh collects, preserves and makes available for research the official records of the Diocese and those ancillary records which reflect the work of the Catholic Church in southwestern Pennsylvania. The records from the official agencies, institutions, parishes, schools and offices of the dioceses constitute the core collection of the Archives. Those ancillary records of individuals and organizations engaged in work which is reflective of the work of the Catholic Church in the diocese constitute the additional collections of the Archives. The Archives is located in Synod Hall in Oakland. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
