Welcome

I am currently an Associate Teaching Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University’s campus in Qatar and teach courses related to quantitative analysis and decision sciences in the Business Administration program.  I am an interdisciplinary scholar with methodological expertise is in game theory, decision sciences, and quantitative analysis.

My research focuses broadly on political economy in American politics where I use both statistical and mathematical models to better understand what I believe to be substantively important areas. One of these projects focuses on accountability and federalism in the context of the U.S. disaster relief. A second area develops both formal theory and an empirical analysis to examine the market origins of media bias. More details of my current and published research may be found on my research page.
