I am interested in the challenge of understanding
the principles of bipedal locomotion, and applying them to robotic systems for
human rehabilitation or augmentation purposes. I believe that the study of the
dynamics of legged locomotion, combined with inspiration drawn from how
biological systems work, will lead to the design of robots and man-machine
interfaces with superior safety, agility and elegance.
