Randolph Frederick Pausch, also known as Randy Pausch,(1960-2008) was a computer science,human-computer interaction and design professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg Pennsylvania.
He is the co-founder of CMU's Entertainment Technology Center and the founder of Alice software project. Pausch is also known for his virtual reality research with Walt Disney Engineering.
I watched his lecture on Time Management and it was so inspiring. Let me share five interesting facts from his lecture with you:
Firstly,I like the optimistic point of view that Randy Pausch has about life. I especially love his approach to living life to the fullest so that we don't have any regret in the future.
He has such a unique way of keeping his audience engaged and entertained till the end of his lecture, especially while he was addressing this topic,a topic which many people would have bored after sometime.
Moreover, I found out that the techniques that he suggested throughout his lecture about how to keep track of time are very essential, especially for college students like us who are faced with time constraints nearly everyday. I even plan to put into practice some his techniques, namely the sortimg of emails and the to-do list.
Another thing that fascinates me about his talk is the various simple examples he used which most people can relate to.In this way, he targets a larger audience.
During his lecture which is based on Time Management, he gave some useful life advice about some simple things which would allow us live a happier and more fulfilled life, for instance, when he encouraged us to spare some time to write thank you notes.
