Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is a technology which simulates the human intelligence by computer. The earliest researches about AI
began in the 1940s, and the actual field of Artificial Intelligence was founded in 1956. Some of the applications of AI
include web search engines (Google, Bing), recommendation systems (YouTube, Netflix), interaction (Siri, Alexa), etc. Despite
AI has existed for more than 70 years, the real boost in AI development started in 2010s, and the interest in AI has reached
its top after the release of ChatGPT in 2022 by OpenAI, which also made a boost in the field of Generative AI.

AI has achieved significant milestones in different domains, but it hasn't fully covered them yet. Here are some examples
where AI still faces some challenges:
  - Creativity and Innovation. Although AI can generate text, art, or music, it does that by imitating the patterns in the
training data. Real creative thinking (as humans) is not achieved yet.
  - Uncertainty and Ambiguity. AI models struggle with scenarios that involve uncertainty, incomplete information, or
ambiguity. They are often not good at assessing risk or making decisions under uncertain conditions, a skill that comes
naturally to humans.
  - Common Sense and Natural Language Processing. AI has significant achievements in NLP, but it still faces challenges
at the tasks requiring deep comprehension of the language, such as sarcasm, humor, or discussion based on the context.

Robotics

Robots are used in many areas. Here are the most common ones:
  - Manufacturing. There are some jobs which involve many repetitions, such as sorting or packaging in production. As
robots are automated only for that particular job and are much faster, they have been replacing humans for the past decades.
  - Agriculture. Similarly, agriculture involves a lot of repetitions in a every-day tasks, such as planting, weeding,
watering.
  - Customer Service. Robots have been working in retail and customer services in various positions. Inventory management,
guiding the customers could be an example

Mixing the Robots with AI, or specifically AGI would set a foundation for many greater achievements. It would
allow us to use AI not only for intellectual resources, but to perform some actions in real life, increasing the safety for
humans and better training for AI. I personally think that the idea of "AI taking over the world" in movies is just an
exaggeration and only see the benefits in the development of AI.
